As the Interlake Filipino Community continues to grow, we are excited to invite community members to be part of our Volunteer Program — a structured, supportive way to get involved and make a real impact.

Volunteers play a vital role in bringing our cultural events, fundraisers, performances, and community initiatives to life. Whether you can help occasionally or regularly, your contribution matters.

From food preparation and event setup to cultural performances, admin support, and leadership roles, there are many ways to contribute based on your availability and skills.

How the Program Works

We use a simple, organized system to keep volunteers informed and supported:

• Volunteers register once and are added to a central Volunteer Master List

• Skills, availability, and interests are matched to upcoming events

• Event schedules are shared in advance to avoid last-minute stress

• Training and orientation are provided when needed, especially for food handling, cash handling, and event flow.

  
  

This structure helps ensure that everyone feels confident, prepared, and valued.

Volunteer Roles Available

Volunteers may assist in roles such as:

• Event or Team Lead

• Food preparation, cooking, and packing

• Setup and teardown

• Cashier or POS support

• Cultural and performance teams

You can volunteer for one event, multiple events, or specific roles only — whatever fits your schedule and comfort level.
